The Blue Bunny Bookstore, 577 High Street, in Dedham Square, will be welcoming illustrator Rachel Maguire to celebrate the publication of Cosmoe’s Wiener Getaway, the first book in the new comic middle grade book series, Galactic Hotdogs. Written by author Max Brallier, and illustrated by Maguire, the book has been earning high marks from the leading children’s publishing journals. Kirkus Reviews describes it as “a highly illustrated story (with) something for every demographic, offering robots, zombies, hot dogs, a princess, video games and wrestlers.” Since the initial launch of Galactic Hot Dogs on the kids’ educational website Funbrain.com in the fall of 2013, over six million readers have delighted in the exploits of the characters Cosmoe, Humphree, Princess Dagger and the rest of the gang featured in each weekly Galactic Hotdogs webisode.
