Meet
The Blue Bunny's own Mascot...
The
Sheep!
And
view his photo album below!
Many
people ask us why we have a sheep for a mascot at the Blue Bunny
and, well, there's no reason other than our furry friend wanted
a little fresh air one day and soon after became a fixture in Dedham
Square.
Through 4 seasons of New England weather, Sheep has greeted many
folks in Dedham. People walk by and pet him, people want their pictures
taken with him, and he loves to dress up for special events and
appropriately for each season. There are the occasional upset or
confused dog greetings, but for the most part life is good. This
past year, Sheep got to ride in a red wagon in the Flag Day parade
along with the Bunny Mobile (which sports ears and a tail during
special events).
Some people mistake him for a goat and a few other animals, but
he tells us he is a sheep. He doesn't mind the attention, in fact,
for the first time he's more popular than the black pony who is
usually the attention getter. Most Blue Bunny visitors don't consider
their visit complete till they pet Sheep on the way out. We think
it's his spunky nature that shines through which makes him a good
friend to those who take the time to wave at him and pet him when
they go by 593 High Street. Come on by and say hi sometime, Sheep
would love to meet you. |
Sheep's
photo album...

Sheep
was excited to put on his red rubber boots and bunny ears for
this his debut and first ever Blue Bunny Special Event - the
Stink book launch party! Here you see Sheep
mugging for the camera with Blue Bunny co-owner, Paul Reynolds.
Can you tell who is who?

Sheep
has a lot of friends! Here are a couple who dropped by to say
hello. He loves making new friends too, so please stop in any
time! |

Safety
is always first and foremost for Sheep -
as you see him showing a friend how to properly wear a helmet while
skateboarding. That's our Sheep - always looking out for others!
(Oh look! That's author/illustrator (and Blue Bunny co-owner) Peter
H. Reynolds signing books in the background!). |

Ah,
patriotism isn't lost on Sheep - here you see him all decked out
in red, white and blue as he leads the way for the "Bunny Mobile"
in the annual Dedham Flag Day Parade. |

Well,
you certainly didn't think Sheep was a muggle sheep, did
you? No, not OUR Sheep - at least not on Harry Potter Day!
Here Sheep is all dressed up like Harry Potter himself,
in his finest wizard wear - eagerly waiting for the party
to begin! |
