Chinese Cooking,
Thurs. July 28
11:30 to 1:00,  chinese cooking for ages 4-7,
 $30, w/ $10 materials fee ($40.)

Friday July 29
11:30 to 1:30, chinese cooking for ages 8-up,  
$40, w/ $10 materials fee ($50)

Learn to make a traditional Chinese meal, maybe fried rice, dumplings, or sesame noodles.  While you are chopping and stirring, you will be learning the Chinese names of ingredients like rice, egg, scallion, and soy sauce.  Plus you will be learning to say lots more in Chinese too!  The Friday class for younger children will feature easier food prep and menu!  So fun.

Chinese Calligraphy And Painting Week,
Tues Aug. 9, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., chinese painting for ages 6-9,   
$40, with $5. materials fee ($45.)

Wed. Aug. 10, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., chinese calligraphy, ages 10-up, 
$40 w/ $5 materials fee ($45.) 

Learn to say your name in Chinese and write it in Chinese characters with a Chinese brush.  Make a traditional chinese project using real Chinese rice paper, and decorate them all using Chinese painting.

Learn to draw Judy, Stink and all your favorite characters

"By The Sea" Writing Workshop at The Blue Bunny!
For children entering grades 1-4. 
Tues, Wed, Thurs, August 2-4th, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
$50 w/ $5. materials fee for each child.  
(For the creative child who likes art and writing)
Kids write poetry and prose inspired by the sea in this summer writing and creativity workshop.  Create colorful books and collages to accompany your writing.  Taught by Blue Bunny staffer and former elementary school teacher Margie Leonard and Needham elementary school teacher Cathy Herndon.

Cartooning Workshop with Brendan Joyce

Kids ages 8-up, $15
Come draw with Brendan and get some tips on  
creating your own great comics!  Please pre-register.

"I Love to Write" Writing Workshop
For Kids entering grades 2-5.
Tues, Wed, Thurs. August 9-11th, 10:00 to 11:30  a.m.
$40 w/ $5. materials fee for each child.
(For aspiring writers to sharpen their skills!)
Kids will work on a poetry or prose writing project of their own and learn fun ways to exercise their writing imaginations. Leave with a piece ready for submission to The Blue Bunny's HUTCH magazine! Taught by former teachers Margie Leonard and Thu-Hang Tran.   Thu-Hang is an experienced writer and elementary-school teacher and has been involved with writing groups for 20 years..
